Hip-hop crooner, Abolore Akande, a.k.a 9ice, is now a father. His wife, Oluwaseun Toni Payne-Akande, yesterday, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, in a private hospital in Texas, USA.
P.M.News learnt that 9ice and his wife had been expecting the baby since Sunday, but the lady had a safe delivery in the morning, yesterday. 9ice, according to a source, was not aware of the bundle of joy until yesterday evening, when he was on his way to Turkey, where he is having a show today.
The source added that 9ice would cut short his trip tomorrow, by visiting his wife and baby in Texas, and make arrangements for their return to Nigeria. Speaking with P.M.News this morning, 9ice, while confirming the good news, said a naming ceremony will hold in Lagos, next week.
“There will be a simultaneous celebration in Texas,” he added. The couple got married on Thursday, 17 July, in a traditional wedding held in Lagos, following a three-year courtship. The wife was four months pregnant at that time.
